Details for Glen Trothy Caravan Park

Situated by a Welsh river in the beautiful Monmouthshire countryside

Glen Trothy Caravan and Camping site is situated in South Wales, a couple of miles away from the Welsh town of Monmouth. The campsite is in the small village of Mitchel Troy where you can buy all your everyday needs. The camp is set in the secluded countryside and is a tranquil and peaceful part of Wales and is right beside the River Trothy.

This campsite is an ideal location for a quiet family holiday, and with three fields (one for caravans and two for tents), you know you are in for an excellent time in one of the campsite's 124 pitches (74 caravan and 50 tents). The site is beside the Wye Wally and the Royal Forest of Dean, where you can spend days exploring the area of these two great Welsh locations.

There are so many other visitor attractions in the area, including castles and abbeys. Plan your holiday well to catch all of these very informative South Wales attractions.

All the caravan pitches have electric hookups, but if you are bringing your tent, only a few are available, and this is first come, first served.

There are water points throughout the campsite. If you run out of gas or forget it, propane, butane and camping gas are available from within the campsite.

Please be aware that some of the pitches are only seasonal, so if you are planning to visit off-peak or even peak times, please go to the website for Glen Trothy and fill in their form for availability so you are not disappointed

To only point to note if you bring your caravan is that it can't be wider the 8 feet, and with tents, these can't be bigger than 16 feet x 16 feet. If your tent is slightly bigger than this, it is possible to pay for two pitches.

Amenities at Glen Trothy are excellent, with the usual toilet block with all the equipment you would expect and laundry and washing-up rooms available. There are also excellent facilities for the disabled at this campsite, but again head off to the campsite website for full details and use the contact form if you have any questions.

Finally, if you are a dog owner, sorry to say dogs are not allowed within the Glen Trothy caravan and camping site.
