Cwmcarn Forest Campsite is located on the banks of the Nantcarn stream in the middle of South Wales. It would be an excellent location to take your touring caravan or tent to as the countryside around this campsite is just unique and is in an ideal countryside location for your family to enjoy wildlife as it should be – in the quiet of South Wales.

This campsite has an excellent Wales Tourist Board rating of 3 stars and is well-equipped with all the modern facilities you would expect. This campsite can handle up to 27 caravans or tents, and all have electric hooks up available, which is all-important for cooking and everyday enjoyment for your family holiday.

A laundry room and shower are also available for all caravan or tent owners. Of course, there is a toilet block on the site with the usual chemical waste disposal.

Near the campsite there are several villages you can visit and buy all the supplies you need for your holiday. The largest town in Blackwood and has everything you need, but you will have to take your car to this town as it is just too far to walk. There are also pubs and restaurants here so you could take a drive here and spend the day enjoying a Welsh town while eating in one of the local bars.

If you are not into driving to Blackwood, there is a country village of Cwncam which is only a 15-mile walk. Here you can get your basic needs and hire bikes if you would like to tour the countryside this way. But remember there is only a small selection of shops available here and if you need more you will have to bring the items with you or go to Blackwood.
